Nav and Lil Durk both dropped some of their best work last week.
Hip-hop fans had plenty to celebrate last week with the release of two highly anticipated albums: NAV’s OMW2 Rexdale and Lil Durk’s Deep Thoughts. Both projects delivered for their audiences, and their success is reflected in their first-week sales projections.
NAV’s OMW2 Rexdale is expected to debut at #3 on the Billboard 200, selling 70K units, while Lil Durk’s Deep Thoughts is projected to land at #4 with 67K units sold. Leading the charts is Playboi Carti’s MUSIC, which continues its reign with 95K units sold in its third week, while Ariana Grande’s eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead secures the #2 spot.

#2 Ariana Grande 94K
#3 NAV (@beatsbynav) 70K

#9 @MorganWallen 46K
#10 Bad Bunny (@sanbenito)…
Given the circumstances, both NAV and Lil Durk should be proud of these numbers. Lil Durk, currently incarcerated, was unable to promote Deep Thoughts properly, yet it still performed impressively. As for NAV, he remains one of hip-hop’s most elusive figures, surfacing mainly when he has music to drop—yet his fanbase continues to show up for him.
Ultimately, these numbers highlight both artists’ staying power and dedicated audiences. Kudos to NAV and Lil Durk on successful first weeks!
