Ice Meez Has “Blue Faces”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Ice Meez (aka Corey Byrdsong) is one of my favorite rappers right now, and that’s because of how real he is. In the Northern California rapper’s music, he usually tackles real-ass topics and raps with this level of assertiveness that cannot be denied. His music also sounds pretty diverse. In a song like “Friendzone,” he gives us island vibes, while in a song like “My Moment,” he gives us emotional rap vibes. Meez’s latest single, “Blue Faces,” is on some celebratory and unadulterated Cali s**t.

“Blue Faces” by Ice Meez is not just about winning; it’s also about celebrating those victories. In the song, Meez reflects on his journey, acknowledging his roots, hustle, and ambition to emulate the success of influential figures like Nipsey Hussle. He also takes pride in his accomplishments, recognizing his ability to overcome adversity and achieve success, symbolized by the “blue faces” he’s earned along the way.

Apart from the motivational lyrics, what truly stands out in “Blue Faces” is its commanding sound. The track features booming production inspired by California vibes, delivering a powerful punch to your speakers. Meez’s confident delivery and unwavering conviction further amplify the impact of his words, making them resonate strongly with the listener. All in al, I highly recommend you internalize this track.

Give “Blue Faces” a shot below.
