EST Gee, Veeze & Rylo Rodriguez Join Forces For “My Love”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Warning: There’s a lot of mumbling on this track.

EST Gee had a relatively quiet 2024, a stark contrast to his explosive 2023. While he released a handful of singles, including “RIP LU MIKE” and “The Streets,” he didn’t drop a single project—a surprising move given that he released two projects in both 2023 and 2022.

The good news is this: The drought might be ending soon. I have a hunch that the Louisville rapper could be dropping a new project this year. One track that might make the cut is “My Love,” featuring Atlanta’s Rylo Rodriguez and Detroit’s Veeze.

The mumbling is at an all-time high in “My Love.” Over a smooth, laidback beat, EST Gee kicks things off with a verse reflecting on picking his son up from school with pistols nearby, along with handling backstabbers and haters. Rylo Rodriguez takes over next, delivering a huffy, mumbly flow as he raps about his luxury cars and stacks of cash. Veeze wraps up the track with some real talk about hustling in the streets and raking in serious money. For me, Veeze takes the crown for the best verse, followed by EST Gee, with Rylo Rodriguez coming in third.
