Russ Drops “Movin”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Russ is one of my favorite artists right now.

Russ, known for his prolific release schedule, has surprisingly not dropped an album since 2023—but that’s about to change. The Atlanta rapper recently announced his upcoming project, W!LD, and on Friday, he officially gave fans the first taste with the lead single, “Movin.”

In “Movin,” Russ reflects on his journey, comparing his life to a movie while calling out the dishonesty in the industry. He also takes a moment to look back on his family’s past struggles, reminds haters that he’s blocking them out, and emphasizes his relentless focus on success.

The track features an upbeat instrumental that perfectly complements Russ’ smooth delivery. He effortlessly blends infectious melodies with sharp flows, making “Movin” an instant standout. The chorus, in particular, shines as the most memorable part of the song.

If Russ continues this energy throughout W!LD, it might end up being one of his best albums.
